Project Overview

The Joy Lane project involved a significant private residential rear extension for a dwelling in Whitstable. Urban & Rural collaborated with the homeowner to define a project brief that transformed their residence into their dream home.

Design and Planning

The proposed design centers around creating a large, flexible space that serves the needs of the couple living in the property but can also be used to accommodate their extended family during regular gatherings. This versatile space enhances the functionality and enjoyment of the home, providing a perfect setting for family events and day-to-day living. A key feature of the extension is its seamless integration with the rear garden. It effectively opens up the existing home to the outdoors, bringing in natural light and a sense of openness into the home.

We successfully secured full Planning and Conservation area approval. The project exemplifies our commitment to creating tailored, functional, and beautiful living spaces.
