St Michael’s Glebe, Ashford Road, Tenterden
Appointed by the Diocese of Canterbury, Urban and Rural have developed a proposal for 30 new dwellings.
The existing Rectory, facing on to Ashford Road, has a large Glebe field located behind it. The site has many sensitive constraints to address, as well as neighbouring ancient woodland.
The success of the proposal was the sensitive manner in which the design was developed and presented to Ashford Borough Council for consideration.
While discussions are ongoing, the approval would allow the Church to market the site for development, maximising the land vale to facilitate much needed maintenance work to the Church’s other assets.
