Harrietsham Rectory

Appointed by the Diocese of Canterbury, Urban and Rural have secured the outline planning approval, as well as the detail Reserved Matters clearance of conditions, for the retention of the existing Rectory and proposed erection of four new dwellings.

The existing Rectory is within a sensitive and prominent village location near Saint John the Baptist Church.

The success of the proposal was the sensitive manner in which the design was developed and presented to Maidstone Borough Council for consideration.

The approval allowed the Church to successfully sell the site for development, maximising the land value to facilitate much needed maintenance work to the Church’s other assets.
