Project Overview

Urban & Rural were appointed to support the delivery of a boutique development of seven luxury detached homes in the village of Charing, Kent. The scheme builds upon a previously approved design, with our team appointed to refine and enhance the proposals through a series of planning resubmissions and Section 73 applications.

Our involvement ensured that the design evolution reflected both the client’s aspirations for quality and efficiency and the local architectural character, strengthening the visual and functional integrity of the development as it moved towards construction.

Design Development & Approach

Working from the original consent, we undertook a comprehensive design review, revising house layouts, elevations and material treatments to achieve a cohesive and contextually appropriate scheme. These refinements elevated the architectural language, improving proportions, articulation, and internal usability across all plots.

Alongside our design and technical support, Urban & Rural also provided a suite of marketing materials to aid the scheme’s launch and sales campaign. This included CGIs, site and sales plans, and a bespoke marketing brochure that communicates the quality and vision of the development.

Current Status

Construction is progressing well on site, with the development set for completion in 2026.
