Rural Barn Conversion

This modern barn is located within the Kent country site, outside of any built environment. The client had attempted to get planning consent for a residential use in the past, with no success.

Urban & Rural were appointed to review the potential of securing the change of use and converting the existing block-built modern barn in open countryside to a private residential dwelling.

As a practice we used planning policy relating to the re-use of existing, redundant agricultural structurers to help justify the legality behind the scheme.

Urban & Rural secured full planning consent for our client. The project has now been detailed in-house, producing a technical building pack and the project is now on site.
