Reynolds Farm Guest House

Reynolds Farm Guest House is a rural business located on the south coast of England.

Urban & Rural worked with the rural business to define a strong case to allow a new build to be erected in open-country site outside of any built environment in this rural location.

The approved scheme was consented by Canterbury City Council on the basis of the detailed planning pack coordinated and produced by Urban & Rural.

The key to this project being granted the controversial approval of building in a rural location was the detailed needs case we prepared; setting out the need for the expansion of the guest house to create a financially sustainable rural business.

In addition to this, the proposed architecture for the scheme was informed on the established experience in dealing with Kentish barn conversions as the proposed scheme was a sympathetic response to the brief.

The scheme had no objections through the consultation period and Urban & Rural worked with the planning officer to have the full planning application approved under delegated powers.
