Two planning applications approved in a month in the London Borough of Bexley. Urban and Rural, working with Plainview Planning, have secured consent for two new apartment buildings on existing garage sites.

The project on Wadeville Close has seen planning consent in principle granted for the demolition of the single-storey garage block and the erection of a new three-storey apartment building, accommodating six apartments.

Urban and Rural carried out a detailed assessment of the existing site and the neighbouring context to ensure maximum value could be achieved in this small complex brow-field site. They also put the right consultant team in place to take the application through to the approval we now have.

Planning consultants Plainview Planning were brought on to act as agent and inform the development to set the right case in order to present the application in its best light.

The application was supported by the team’s Transport consultants Motion, who carried out the necessary work to confirm the loss of parking would be acceptable and the introduction of the new parking associated with six new dwellings.

This is the fourth planning approval Urban and Rural have helped secure in as many weeks in the London Borough of Bexley, so for just one Planning department, one approval a week is not bad going, particularly at this time.
